DAY 1 : VEUN KHAM / BANLUNG / TEUK CHA ONG /
OKACHANG/ YEAK LOM
Arrival at Veun Kham
/ Dom Korlor border between Cambodia and Laos, meet your guide and
transferred by private car to Banlung, capital of Ratanakiri. Arrival in
Banlung, check in hotel and lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon,
take the discovery of the most
spectacular waterfalls named Teuk Cha Ong and Okachang, located
in a groove in the heart of the jungle. If you wish you can swim in the cool
waters. Then, discover the volcanic lake of Yeak Lom, 5km from Banlung, a circular
lake surrounded by jungle which dates from 700,000 years. Some people believe
it comes from the fall of a meteorite. This lake is sacred in the beliefs of
the tribes of Ratanakiri and you can if you wish you swim in transparent and
green waters. Back to Banlung for dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at
hotel
DAY 2: BANLUNG
/ VOEUNG SAI / STEUNG TRENG
After breakfast, visit the Banlung
market, a particular market for the different ethnic groups (Kroeung,
Tompuon, Jarai) who sell or exchange their products , vegetables, forest
gathering, game, etc. These races are very recognizable in small round wicker
basket that women carry on their backs or in front of them for the market.
Then, start with car and guide for the village of Voeung Sai along with a
shabby track. The village consists of several communities: Chinese, Laotian
and Tompuon. Take lunch at a local restaurant. After that, departure by
canoe on the Se San River to visit a tribe village, Tompuon, that
practice funeral statuary (Totem, wooden statue bearing the likeness of the
deceased, installed in a "cemetery"). Back to Banlung to take luggage
and departure for Steung Treng. Arrival in Steung Treng, check in
hotel and relax. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3: STEUNG TRENG/ TBAENG MEANCHEY
After breakfast, depart
for the city of Siem Reap, you will take a ferry to cross the Mekong and make a
short stop in the town of Tbaeng Meanchey. On the road before arriving in Siem
Reap, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and discover the temple of Beng
Melea .You will visit this temple, much appreciated by the romantic and
passionate. This temple has been nearly "forgotten" by his lack of
tourists ( Now increasingly popular but unrelated to the crowd of Angkor ). It
was built in the early 11th century and some people think that this temple was
the scale model used for the construction of the famous Angkor Wat. After the
visit, you resume the road to Siem Reap. Arrive in Siem Reap and check in your
hotel .Diner at a local restaurant and overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 4: SIEM REAP-ANGKOR
TEMPLES
After breakfast at
hotel, you will be transferred by private vehicle with your tourist guide to
visit the Angkor temples. Ta Prom has been left relatively untouched
since it was discovered. Preah Khan, built by King Jayavarman VII then,
take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Angkor
Wat temple, the most famous of all the temples. Its complex covers 81 hectares.
After that, visit the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated
with over 200 faces. Dinner at a local
restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5: SIEM REAP-ANGKOR
TEMPLES
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart by private car to the sacred mountain, Kbal Spean. You will see a
large number of sculptures carved on the stone on Hindu deities and thousands
of Lingas resting on the bed of the river. Therefore; that is named "River
Thousand Lingas" . You will make a trek of about 2 to 3 hours on a path
through the forest. You will continue the tour with the discovery of Banteay
Srei (Citadel of Women). This temple was carved from pink sandstone and entirely
decorated with reliefs. He is the one of the most beautiful temples of
Cambodia. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, visit the temple of Banteay
Samre, elegant temple of the XII century and Banteay Kdei, numerous sculptures of great beauty, chase
with a visit to Ta Som, splendid little temple, remarkable for the
quality of its sculptures and Neak Pean .You will witness later at a
beautiful sunset on the Pre Rup temple. Back to Siem Reap, dinner at a
local restaurant and overnight at your hotel.
DAY 6: SIEM REAP-
KAMPONG PLUCK-TONLE SAP-DEPARTURE
After breakfast, you
will leave in private car with your guide to discover the picturesque floating
village of Kompong Pluk in which most houses are built on stilts 6 to 7m
height, and discover the life of its inhabitants living largely on fishing. Enjoy
a hiking boat navigating through the flooded forest. Back to Siem Reap for lunch at a local restaurant and free time on
or before your transfer to the airport for your return flight.
